Welcome
Friends of Mt. Lebanon Public Library
The Friends have a common concern for the Library's active participation in the community and have strong convictions that good library service is an essential part of everyone's intellectual enrichment.
The Friends create public support and assistance for expanding library programs and encourage gifts, endowments and memorials to the library.
Working to promote library services, the Friends organize public events, raise money and sponsor a variety of library activities such as: Morning Book Discussion, Shakespeare Readers, a strong Genealogy Society, and French, Spanish, and Italian Conversation Groups. Other programs feature speakers on local and national events.
Through their efforts, they have helped build and support our Library since 1932. Their contributions, including over 30 years of hugely successful, annual (and sometimes more frequent) book sales, have enriched library services in the Mt. Lebanon community. In December 2008, the Friends opened the Book Cellar to serve the library community year-round and to raise funds for the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.
